Sunshine Coco-Berry Smoothie

There is no better time to enjoy a fruit smoothie than during the summer when the fruit is in season and hasn't tasted any better! Especially when it comes to strawberries; their so juicy and flavourful and they are so easy to find and local farmers are selling them like hotcakes!

This is a great way to start your morning, but also just a great way to end your day.

This shake is incredibly easy to make and with the addition of the shredded coconut, it really brings it a whole new level. Sometimes, it's the simple additions that can enhance your shakes.

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of plant-based milk

  • 1/2 cup of water

  • 1 banana (fresh or frozen)

  • 1 cup of frozen strawberries

  • 3 tablespoons shredded coconut

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)

  • Splash of orange juice (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon matcha (optional)

Directions

  • Add all ingredients into a blender and process until smooth.

Note: if you are using both frozen banana and strawberries, you may want to add additional milk or water or decrease the amount of frozen fruit, otherwise, it will be very thick (unless that is what you are wanting).

Nutritional Breakdown per Serving
